Good thing: I finished refinishing an old vanity for Ella last night.

Bad thing: In trying to turn it just a bit (the thing is on wheels), it fell backwards and the frame to which the mirror is attached cracked and smashed. It is unrepairable.

Good thing: The huge mirror didn't break.

Bad thing: I was devestated and had to call Cameron to cry about it.

Good thing: He was able to answer the phone (most times, he can't) and I felt better.

Bad thing: It didn't take my cramps or hormonal roller coaster away.

Good thing: I got to hang around my friend Angie and figure out some craft for June 30th (Eclipse release).

Bad thing: We were both too energy-less to get a thing done.

Good thing: We didn't care.

Later...

Good thing: I managed to make dinner. Chicken Parmesan!

Bad thing: Comments from the kids ranged from "It's not bad." to "Disgusting!"

Good thing: Cam handled all the rudeness and bad manners on his own.

Bad thing: It still made me cry.

Good thing: The kids liked Cam more than me and so I only had to put Bryce to bed and that was a really good thing.

Even when I look at that post title I think that the subject here must be chocolate. But it's not.

Chocolate really isn't my biggest weakness, besides chocolate is a joy.

My biggest weakness is time management. There are so many things I want to do, I could never possibly do them all and then there are my home duties and family duties and wife duties and daughter duties, etc.

This little guy is my new best friend.

For as long as I know, The FLY Lady, has been stating that "You can do anything in 15 minutes!" She has suggested that one who wants a cleaner house and chaos-free life will want to have a small timer to carry around with them from room to room to do 15 minutes here and 15 minutes there. I tried just using my oven timer, but I'm telling you, this little guy is magic. He cost me less than $3 and helps me keep going and going. I can do amazing things in 15 minutes. I set it for 15 minutes and use it in one room at a time and keep working until it goes off. I get more done in each room than I would have just tackling it head on and then getting distracted as I put things away in various rooms. Oh, I could go on, but I won't. This is what I've been doing this week. It's been good.

The best product has been more time with these lovely people.

It has been a joy getting to know you three again.

Bad thing: Terrible night's sleep. My allergies are killing me. Dane came in at least 3 times between 1 and 2:30 saying he couldn't sleep. Well, neither can I buddy-boy and you are NOT HELPING!!!

Good thing: Dane was helping Ella learn to read when I stumbled out of bed with my head swimming at 8:00.

Bad thing: I feel rotten. I'm hoping it's just allergies, but I'm not so sure now.

Good thing: Nowhere to be today.

Bad/Good thing: It's Monday.

Feel free to add your bads and your goods in the comments section.

Bad Thing: My double-oven and stove-top have insufficient wiring or something like that and that wiring has been fried. At any rate, my heat sources have temporarily lost their power supply.

Good Thing: There's still one more oven in the kitchen down stairs.

Bad Thing: Dane has bad allergies this year and woke me up about 5 times last night.

Good Thing: He didn't wake up Bryce and Bryce (with his big-boy bed) has slept through 2 nights in a row.

Bad Thing: Woke up late...wonder why

Good Thing: Still got Dane to school on time, nay early!, and still managed to get some medicine at Wal-Mart for him and Cheerios and oatmeal for Ella and Bryce to eat when we got back from the school.

Please feel free to post one or two or more bad thing/good thing comparisons in the comments section. I would love to hear your sorrow and set-backs/joys and triumphs. I think I'll make this a regular post.
