Last July I did a post using this exercise. I thought why not do it again...

Outside my window... long shadows stretch in contrast to the scorching sun

I am thinking...peacefully and with gratitude

I am thankful for... the way prayer has been changing me. C.S. Lewis said: I pray because I can't help myself. I pray because I'm helpless. I pray because the need flows out of me all the time- waking and sleeping. It doesn't change God- it changes me.

From the kitchen...I have stolen a frozen chocolate Zinger. Breakfast of champions

I am wearing...color. It's getting less unusual all the time.

I am creating... calmness in chaos

I am going... to be a good mother today.

I am reading... six different books right now.

I am hoping... that all will be well with my children. School starts in four days.

I am hearing... the motion of the ceiling fan and the scratch of my nails on the keyboard.

Around the house... closets cry out for attention. I don't like cleaning closets because no one sees what I've accomplished. :)

One of my favorite things... words.

A few plans for the rest of the week... finish a Lord of the Rings marathon with Cameron, begin reading Catching Fire with Cameron and celebrate Fiesta Days in S.F.

(none of these photos are mine)

Outside my window... The birds flutter endlessly. The green-filtered sun twinkles through blinds.

I am thinking...gardening, kisses and books.

I am thankful for... a working car with air conditioning.
From the kitchen...the to-do list is written all over the counters and sink.

I am wearing...the world's best uniform: jeans and a t-shirt.

I am creating... literary wonders and tangible tchotchkes, all in my head.

I am going... to be up all night and happy about it.

I am reading... On Writing.

I am hoping... Dane is feeling better by tomorrow.

I am hearing... Ah, nothing but those birds.

Around the house... there is work to be done and it's mine to do and on some odd level that makes me happy, too.

One of my favorite things... music.

A few plans for the rest of the week... to paraphrase Emily Dickinson...Late nights! Late nights! When not with thee, late nights will be my luxury! And then there's the Fourth of July!!! Yay!

It's long, but worth the watch. I honestly wept.

We are all creators, always creating.

Here's a peek into my brain. May be I'll invent crayon therapy (turns out I'm too late!). All I know is that it was a lot of fun to scribble with my kids. I was trying to help Bryce. Anyway, I highly recommend that you go and grab a box of crayons and a blank piece of paper and begin having fun. Coloring can be amazingly relaxing AND you might even create something that someone might pay half a million bucks for 100 years from now.

Cam's mom just called and wondered if Dane still liked dragons and such.

Here is one of his smaller, scan-able versions.
