I wasn't going to say anything about the election last night (I really don't like politics), but I couldn't resist the REM lyrics I used as a title.
Although I have serious concerns about our president, I can't help but feel proud to be a citizen of a country that has finally looked beyond race and voted in an African-American. I was so touched to see Jesse Jackson with sincere tears running down his cheeks and couldn't help but think of Dr. M.L. King.
Now, the weather! Yikes!
How do ya' like them roses?
Festive!
"The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed -- and hence clamorous to be led to safety -- by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary."
-H.L. Mencken, writer, editor, and critic (1880-1956)
Oh and it's snowing again. Darn that global warming! ;)
