Wednesday: On Cameron's day to choose we put the new table together while the kids made flying saucers and space ships and mother ships and father ships out of all the boxe
s.
Then we went to Horton Hears a Who!
We liked it a lot and thought it was really well done and subdued considering it starred Jim Carrey and Steve Carell. Very appropriate to it's G rating.
After eating lunch at home, we went to the Jordan Rec Center to swim/play in the water. Bryce, who doesn't have an ounce of fat on him, shivered the whole time, but had a blast. Dane did great and Ella is excited to take swimming lessons this summer.
We ate at Souper Salad for dinner. I must say that I'm getting very good at my soft-serve ice cream operation. I could work for Dairy Queen!
Thursday: The long anticipated day of Dane's choice.
We spent the morning cleaning up all the spaceships and cardboard and plastic and other recyclables from the table assembly first and then we headed over to Chuck E. Cheese's for lunch. Yes, we did have too much fun to take pictures. The kids loved playing the games and getting tickets. Dane came home with a car and an ant. Ella came home with two jewelled hair barrettes and Tootsie-Pops.
Next up was Discovery Gateway (formerly The Children's Museum of Utah). Only Dane had been to this new location. We had such a blast and spent about 4 hours there.

Building with block is what we do best!
Ella had the best time in the grocery store. Shop, check-out, put away, repeat.
The helicopter was a big hit and they loved playing in the bee hive with the balls.

Friday: The official final day of our vacation and my choice. You're about to find out how lame I can truly be.
In the morning, I had everyone help me fold seven loads of laundry that had piled up over the week (and last week). Fun.

Next, we went to the mall to shop for my birthday. 5 people in a dressing room. Fun.
Since they were so good, AND THEY WERE, we went to play at Dino Towne (a small play area for kiddies) at the South Towne Mall. That was part of the deal, of course. That was fun.
Cam carried Ella on our way out of the mall and when he put her back on the ground by the van, he did something to his back. It hurt incredibly and so we didn't do the next item on the agenda: bowling. Dane was really sad about that. We also skipped the bedtime story time at Barnes and Noble. I guess we'll have to have a fun 'mommy's day' some other time. We ended up playing some games together and having a quieter evening and end to the home vacation. Cam nursed his ache with a heating pad and ibuprofen.

My girls love Souper Salad too! Did you know that on Sunday's all kids get $1? Sign up for their free Souper Fresh Club and they will email you $1 off coupons and specials for your birthday! Not a bad deal especially if your girls like it as much as mine.

Sharing the savings :)
Well, it sounds pretty fun. I don't know about all the chores part, but sometimes it's really nice to just have daddy home during the week. I definitely think you need a rain check for your day, though.
