We just happened to be at the library at the right time.
The chinchilla there was being moved back into his terrerium and being fed. He was so active and cute, whereas he's usually curled up in a ball his bed and hidden.
Bryce and Ella were so excited. Then they got the opportunity to pet it. Bryce seemed like he was doing fine, moving slowly and all, but then he touched the soft fur and grabbed hard. He came away with some of that soft fur. Poor little thing...
Ella didn't want to pet him at first, but then she got brave and did it. She seemed very pleased about it.

We are so jealous. I think we have only seen that thing once. That used to be Joren's favorite thing to look at, but he doesn't even ask any more... probably because he hardly ever sees it. And now that Bryce was so mean to it, they'll probably never take it out again!
