The Oquirrh Mountain temple is moving right along and everyone in the area is very excited.
This first picture is the front view from the new 40th West expanded road.
The second photo is the back of the temple taken from inside the Daybreak community.
We are having a regional conference in October and several members of our stake have been asked to participate in the choir, including myself. The neatest thing, other than it will be in the Conference Center in downtown Salt Lake City, but President Hinckley will be attending as well as President Packer.Dane went to church with my mom yesterday and I asked what they learned about. He said they learned about prophets. Note: this is a perfect parent-teaching moment! The perfect segue to telling him that in a few weeks he would be in the same room with a prophet of God. It was so humbling to see the faith glowing in his eyes and he thought about this experience he was going to have.

Everytime you put a temple update on the blog (and Ryan checks it, which he does occasionally) he calls me and says, "It's not going very fast and it's not going to be done by the time we need to sell our house to avoid capital gains tax and the temple (with it's property-value increasing properties) is the whole reason we kept the house in the first place." And then I have to calm him down and tell him we felt very much like HF wanted us to keep the house and rent it to the JOhnsons and so we will be fine.
SO could you please refrain from stressing my husband out? Or at least warn me, so I can get our bank statements out ready to show him that we aren't going to end up in the poorhouse?
