Our new home has a lot of mature trees, many of them pine. This means we have a lot of pinecones on the ground. We decided that picking up the pinecones would be a good chore for the kids to be in charge of. I'm willing to pay them by the bucket, but in the midst of our working on the new house, a little spending money doesn't mean much to my kids, but Cameron told them that I would take them to the playground (in the park behind the house) if they filled up one bucket. They did, so I did and had a little fun myself.
